    Wayside Body Shop represents an extraordinary success in an extremely competitive business. The success of Wayside Body Shop has been built on the belief that a person's vehicle is their single largest investment after their home. Wayside's commitment to service & reliability is first and foremost. Wayside has grown into one of the largest body shops on the East Coast. Started in 1962 by the Van Schaik family with just a two man body shop to now employing over 25 employees and can accommodate a combination of 38 cars and truck simultaneously in our 23,000 square foot facility that was constructed in November 1987. Wayside was purchased by the Hertrich Automotive Family of Dealerships in May of 2005, the Hertrich Family still operates Wayside today on the same philosophy of business.

Wayside repairs all make and models of cars, pickups, vans, travel trailers, motor homes, flat bed trailers, box bodies, large trucks, fleet equipment, and all emergency equipment apparatus'. With Hertrich's coming in to the business gives the company an expanded future and growth into the vast changing automotive industry. Q:     Should I report an accident to my insurance company even if the accident was not my fault?

A:     Yes, your insurance company should be made aware that your vehicle has been involved in an accident. In some cases your insurance company many have to step in on the repairs or provide you with coverage for a rental vehicle.

Q:     Should I take photos of my vehicles damage?

A:     Yes, some insurance companies take photos of the damage but some do not, take photos for your own records.

Q:     Where do I get a claim number?

A:     Claim numbers are issued by your insurance company at the time you report your accident. Just write it down and bring it in with you when you come for the estimate, we will do the rest.

Q:     Can you match the paint color?

A:     Today's modern factory finishes incorporate multiple layers of highly specialized paints. Wayside Body Shop has one of the finest paint system available and we are constantly upgrading the technology of our equipment. We take special pride in our ability to match finishes by tinting color to achieve a blendable match.

Q:     How long will the repairs to my vehicle take?

A:     When your customer service representative gives you an estimate, they will give you a tentative completion date and the amount of days that we will need to complete the vehicle. During the repairs additional damage may be found and may prolong the repair, if this happens you customer service representative will contact you.

Q:     How can I get a rental car?

A:     If you need a rental car, we can help you make the necessary arrangements. Check with the insurance company paying of the claim to see if you are eligible for a rental vehicle.

Q:     Do I have to pay a deductible and who do I pay it to?

A:     The amount of your deductible that you will be responsible for is determined by your insurance policy. If you aren't sure about your deductible, call your agent and he/she can inform you. You are responsible for paying your deductible to Wayside Body Shop when you pick your vehicle up.

Q:      What forms of payment do you accept?

A:      We accept, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, personal checks and cash.

Q:     Do I have a choice of where I want my vehicle repaired?

A:     Yes, some insurance companies have what they call "preferred shops", "preferred shops" means that the insurance company most likely has an agreement with that repair facility do to pricing or other concessions which promises work for that shop. Whether the shop is on their "preferred shops" list or not, you still have the choice as to where you want your vehicle repaired.

Q:     Who is the insured, and who is the claimant?

A:     The insured is the person who was at fault in the accident, all repairs unless other wise stated by his/her insurance company will go directly through them. A claimant is the person who was not at fault in the accident, and has no contracted policy with the insured's company.

Q:      Can I wash my car?

A:      When you pick your vehicle up a list of washing instructions will be given to you. If you have any questions regarding washing the paint before your vehicle is done, ask your customer service representative.

Q:     How will I know when my car is finished?

A:     At the beginning of your repairs you received a tentative completion date from your customer service representative. Once that date nears you will be notified by phone as to what time your car will be ready for pick up. If you have any questions during your repair process please feel free to call us at anytime.
