Each year, we express our heartfelt gratitude to these community heroes by participating in Teacher of the Year celebrations across eight counties on Maryland's Eastern Shore. We surprise the teachers with a yearlong lease of one of our vehicles to thank them for their incredible work to uplift and enrich our communities.

A huge CONGRATS to Beebe Health ICU nurse Angela Gleysteen, who was awarded the L.O.V.E. letter for January 2023 by Rick Schaffner, Executive VP and Chief Operating Officer of Beebe Healthcare. Hertrich Family of Dealerships also presented her with a $100 gift card on behalf of our Hertrich Family by Director of Marketing David Sullivan. Outstanding work, Angela! ??

The U.S. Army and Hertrich Family of Dealerships, Inc. signed a partnership agreement on September 27, 2018 as part of the U.S. Army Partnership for Youth Success (PaYS) program. The PaYS Program is a strategic partnership between the Army and a cross section of private industry, academia and state and local public institutes.  The U.S. Army PaYS Program guarantees Soldiers a job interview and possible employment after their service in the Army.  The PaYS Program provides America’s youth with the unique opportunity to simultaneously serve their country and prepare for their future.  

 

Today’s Military Spotlight has a two-fold purpose.  The first is to commemorate Coast Guard Day. It is celebrated in the United States annually on August 4. This observance commemorates the anniversary of the founding of the U.S. Coast Guard as the Revenue-Marine in 1790. The Coast Guard is a single maritime service which is dedicated to enforcing the maritime laws and saving life at sea. Since 2002, it has been operating under the authority of the Department of Homeland Security.
